22 Apr 08Poole Schools Affected By Planned Strike On Thursday
The Borough of Poole is working with the Borough's schools to ensure minimum disruption will occur to children and parents during Thursday's national teachers' strike.
Stuart Twiss of Strategy, Quality & Improvement said: "Any need for strike action is disappointing, however the final decision on any closure rests with the individual schools and we are liaising closely with them to ensure the school day runs as normally as possible".
Schools should be informing parents direct if headteachers and governors decide to close or partially close for the day on Thursday.
