Peter Pawlowski, Head of Borough of Poole's Consumer Protection Services, said: "A display of this kind helps to remind people how to protect themselves against food poisoning, or from a child hurting themselves on a toy intended for an older brother or sister. We can all help reduce waste by recycling our bottles and cans and disposing of our Christmas Trees at one of the Centres provided after the holiday."

Christmas Trees can be recycled from 4th to 21st January 2001 at the Nuffield Household Waste Tip in Nuffield Road (0800-1745), at Upton House (0900 to dusk), and in the Dolphin Swimming Poole Car Park (0900 to dusk).
