LEARN NEW SKILLS WITH POOLE ADULT EDUCATION

Would you like to navigate your way safely around the islands and currents of Poole Harbour, relax into yoga or pass your final accountancy examination?

Perhaps you would like to master computers and lock into the World Wide Web, upholster a chair professionally or enjoy your holidays more by taking up a foreign language.

All things are possible through Poole's Adult Education programme. The list of subjects available is endless - from photography to fiction, French to furniture restoration, the choice is yours.

More than 6,000 people will enrol for courses starting in September at centres throughout the town. Courses take place during the evenings, daytime and weekends.

You can enrol now by ringing the Adult Education Centre at Oakdale, (01202) 262300 or by sending a stamped addressed A4 envelope for a brochure.

Elaine Findlay, Head of Poole Adult Education Service, said: "There's a huge body of people who want to use their leisure to improve their skills and qualifications. Others just want to take up a new hobby and others come along for the sheer joy of learning and making new friends."

Details of the 700 courses are listed in a brochure available from Adult Education centres and your public library.
