TRAFFIC DELAYS DUE TO OPEN AIR CONCERT

TICKETS are still available for the annual Proms in the Park concert with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra entertaining thousands of music-lovers at Upton Country Park.

The popular annual event, which runs over two days and finishes with a spectacular firework display, is a firm favourite in the local entertainment calendar.

Bar facilities, hot and cold drinks and hot and cold snacks are available on each night but many concert-goers bring their own picnic to enjoy on the lawn in front of Upton House.

The concerts start at 8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday 21 and 22 July 1998 with the gates of the park opening at 6pm. The events end at around 10.30pm each night.

Motorists are warned that traffic delays are likely around Upton Country Park as concert-goers travel to and from the concert.
