Turlin Moor Middle School Homework Club Opens

A new Homework Club is to be opened at Turlin Moor Middle School in Poole which will provide young people with the equipment, material and space that they need to do their homework which may not be available to them at home.

Thanks to funding from the Turlin Moor Community Liaison Project and the Single Regeneration Budget, pupils will also have the opportunity to use a new PC allowing them access to the latest technology in an educationally supportive environment.

Neil Poulton, Community Liaison Officer, Borough of Poole said: "The provision of educational opportunities to allow the young people to develop to their full potential is seen as crucial to the long term creation of a vibrant and community conscious Turlin Moor".

To maximise the use of the PC, it will also be used during the school day to assist pupils with special needs.

Tomorrow, the Mayor, Councillor Graham Curtis will officially open the Homework Club and present Headteacher, Mr Jeff Royle with the PC on behalf of the Turlin Moor Community Liaison Project.
