Play Areas and Skate Parks
There are 48 play facilities across Poole The Council, is responsible for:
- determining the location of play areas and skate parks.
- provision of site information boards and notices.
- arranging the repair and replacement of major equipment parts and re-surfacing.
Continental Lanscapes Ltd, is responsible for:
- inspecting every site daily (target by 11.00), 365 days a year.
- cleaning play areas and removing graffiti as required.
- providing qualified staff for inspection and repairs.
- arranging an annual independent safety audit of each site.
- undertaking minor repairs to safety surfacing.
- painting equipment such as skate ramps (paint and programme agreed with the Council)
- responding to emergencies ensuring site safety.
Sports Pitch Maintenance
Bookings and payments for sports pitches can be made through Continental Landscapes Ltd
.
The Council is responsible for:
- Setting prices for sports pitch bookings.
- Arranging repairs and refurbishment of changing facilities.
Continental Landscapes Ltd is responsible for:
- supplying all posts and fixings for goals (not nets, equipment or benches).
- marking pitches in accordance with requirements laid down by the sports governing body.
- inspecting pitches prior to matches.
- re-instating pitches after games and at the close of season.
- providing attendants, cleaning and checking changing rooms and reporting problems
