Play Areas and Skate Parks

There are 48 play facilities across Poole The Council, is responsible for:

• determining the location of play areas and skate parks.
• provision of site information boards and notices.
• arranging the repair and replacement of major equipment parts and re-surfacing.

Continental Lanscapes Ltd, is responsible for:

• inspecting every site daily (target by 11.00), 365 days a year.
• cleaning play areas and removing graffiti as required.
• providing qualified staff for inspection and repairs.
• arranging an annual independent safety audit of each site.
• undertaking minor repairs to safety surfacing.
• painting equipment such as skate ramps (paint and programme agreed with the Council)
• responding to emergencies ensuring site safety.

Sports Pitch Maintenance

Bookings and payments for sports pitches can be made through Continental Landscapes Ltd  .

The Council is responsible for:

• Setting prices for sports pitch bookings.
• Arranging repairs and refurbishment of changing facilities.

Continental Landscapes Ltd is responsible for:

• supplying all posts and fixings for goals (not nets, equipment or benches).
• marking pitches in accordance with requirements laid down by the sports governing body.
• inspecting pitches prior to matches.
• re-instating pitches after games and at the close of season.
• providing attendants, cleaning and checking changing rooms and reporting problems
