Poole has eight allotment sites providing 409 plots for people to grow their own fruit and veg.  As well as the social, recreation and health benefits they provide, allotments also give shelter to wildlife and help conserve open spaces.

The eight allotment sites are:

Waiting List

There is a waiting list for all Council owned allotments, which is administered by Continental Landscapes Ltd on behalf of Leisure Services.

If you wish to apply to go onto the waiting list for an allotment, please complete and submit the form.

Allotments are only available to residents in the Borough of Poole

Continental Landscapes, the Council's grounds maintenance contractor, manage all our allotment sites.  They are responsible for:

• Collecting annual rent / advising tenants of rent increases
• Managing the waiting lists
• Liaising with tenants and prospective tenants
• Inspecting sites and issuing malcultivation notices
• Providing and emptying skips (where provided)
• General upkeep of site in liaison with Borough of Poole, Leisure Services. 

Borough of Poole is responsible for:

• Developing the allotment sites with tenants and the Grounds Maintenance Contractor
• Determining annual adjustment in rents
• Providing funds for new and replacement facilities

Issuing notices to quit due to non compliance with agreement/licence, malcultivation or non-payment of rent
