Beach Huts - Short Term Hire

Relax and enjoy beach life, with some of your home comforts, when you hire a beach hut in Poole.

We have a total of 45 beach huts for short term hire at the following beaches:

Sandbanks
Shore Road
Canford Cliffs
Branksome Chine
Branksome Dene Chine

Charges

See the attached PDF for charges information. Please note that some beach huts have a water or water and electricity supply so costs vary.

Furnishings

To help you settle in, all short term hire beach huts are furnished with:

Two deck chairs
Four plastic chairs
A plastic table
Parasol / sun shade and stand
Storage cupboard
Work top and curtains

Please Note: Cooking facilities are not provided.

Daily, Weekly & Winter hire

For single day beach hut hire please come to the Beach Office to check availability.

For weekly and winter hire you need to book in advance. Hire is from a Saturday to Saturday. The beach hut will be ready from 14:00 on the day your hire starts and on your last day you need to vacate it by 12 noon.

Bookings

Book early to avoid disappointment. You can book up to a year in advance:

From 01 July – 31 August you can book a beach hut for a maximum of two weeks.
Outside of the times specified above you can book for a maximum of four weeks.

In May additional booking periods may become available to allow you to extend your hire period.

Contact the Beach Team to check your desired dates, then fill in a booking form and return it to the Beach Team.

Discounts

If you are an Access to Leisure & Learning card holder you qualify for a 50% discount on all beach hut hire during the following times during 2010:

03 April – 01 May
05 – 26 June
04 – 25 September
