At present the equipment consist of a large climbing frame situated on top of a banked area with a long slide, a separate cabin slide stands alone, junior and cradle swings, a wide slide aimed at younger children, a four seat "buck-about" springer and a pair of talk tubes.
All the equipment was sand-blasted and repainted during early June 2014 in preparation for the summer season.
There is adequate seating which includes a picnic table within the fenced dog free play area which is suitable for users aged 3 to 14.
It is hoped that this play area may be improved as part of a much larger scheme involving all of Poole Park in the near future as part of a Heritage Lottery Bid.
The play equipment in this play area was manufactured and installed to comply with current safety standards applying at the time of installation and all items of equipment are provided with a safer surface where required.
The play equipment and the immediate surrounding areas are inspected on a regular basis. An annual inspection is also carried out by an independent qualified organisation that prepares a safety audit and a report to enable the Council to plan long term maintenance and renewal
The play area can be accessed from Kingland Road or from Poole Park. Toilets are available nearby and car parking is available both in Poole Park and on Kingland Road.
We encourage the use of all our facilities by everyone. Please let us know if you have any suggestions on how we could improve this facility for you.
