Standards Committee
The Role of the Standards Committee.
The Standards Committee is a statutory requirement made up of two Councillors, one from each political party, and five non-Councillors. They provide an independent forum to examine and advise on Councillor conduct and the ethics that govern an individual whilst carrying out their role of Councillor.
The four non-Councillors are:
- Penny Rogers (Chairman)
- Andrew Marsh (Vice Chairman)
- Micheline Loussot
- Andrew Reed
- Lynda Bourne
New Complaints Procedure - Making a complaint against a Councillor
The Council has adopted new procedures for dealing with complaints against elected Members. The new procedures and a complaints form are available from the downloads menu on this page. (
The Standards Committee meets as and when required.
