The Sheriff

In his role as Sheriff of Poole, Councillor Bulteel will support the Mayor with his Civic duties and responsibilities. He has been a Poole councillor since 1995 representing the Poole Town ward.

The role of the Sheriff supports the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in Civic duties and responsibilities. The Sheriff usually receives a small allowance of £750 to help with expenses. The Councillor serves a year as Sheriff, then becomes the elected Mayor before finally becoming Deputy Mayor.
