European Election Results For South West Region

Here is information about the European Election held in 2004.  The next European Election will be held on Thursday 4th June 2009.

Turnout for South West Region Voting: 37.8%

Residents across the South West Region, including the Isles of Scilly and Gibraltar cast their votes for the European Election on Thursday 10 June 2004.

SOUTH WEST REGION - Results Announced on Sunday 13th June 2004

Paul Kevin Morris, the Regional Returning Officer for the European Parliamentary Election in the South West Region held on 10th June 2004, declared that the number of votes cast for each party is as follows:

  • BRITISH NATIONAL PARTY 43,653
  • CONSERVATIVES - PUTTING BRITAIN FIRST 457,371
  • COUNTRYSIDE PARTY 30,824
  • GREEN PARTY 103,821
  • LABOUR PARTY 209,908
  • LIBERAL DEMOCRATS 265,619
  • RESPECT - THE UNITY COALITION (GEORGE GALLOWAY) 10,437
  • UK INDEPENDENCE PARTY 326,784

The following candidates were elected for the South West Region:

  • Neil Quentin Gordon Parish, Conservatives - Putting Britain First
  • Graham Harry Booth UK Independence Party
  • Graham Robert Watson Liberal Democrats
  • Caroline Frances Jackson Conservatives - Putting Britain First
  • James Glynn Ford Labour Party
  • Roger Maurice Knapman UK Independence Party
  • Giles Bryan Chichester Conservatives - Putting Britain First
