Lifeline Costs
Lifeline Hire with Monitoring Service costs £3.08 per week which is payable quarterly - £40.04 + VAT where applicable.
Lifeline Hire with Mobile Service costs £4.81 per week which is payable quarterly - £62.53 + VAT where applicable.
Short-term Lifeline Mobile Service for existing Monitoring clients costs £15.00 + a £60.00 charge for any call-outs.
Short-term Lifeline Mobile Service for new clients costs £30.00 + a £60.00 charge for any call-outs.
Four options of payment: Direct Debit, Annual, Quarterly account, Quarterly cash are available.
(These charges are current as at 1 April 2008).
You will be notified in writing of any price increases before the 1 march each year, no notification will be given if there is no increase.
Please note that none payment for any reason may result in the termination of the service.
Some people may be exempt from paying VAT on the Lifeline system if they are:
- Chronically sick or disabled.
- Have a physical or mental impairment which has long term and substantial adverse effect upon his /her ability to carry out everyday activities
- Have a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes
- Are is terminally ill

For those of you who are worried about the cost of the Lifeline service and you are on Income Support, Housing Benefit, or perhaps just fall outside obtaining any financial help at all, there is the possibility you may be entitled to a Community Care Grant from the Benefits Agency.
