Applicants Panel
The Applicants Panel is a group of representatives who are all on the housing register, who meet up approximately 4 times a year to discuss a range of housing services.The main purpose of the group is to enable officers to consult on these services and to ensure that applicants views are heard and help shape future policy. The Applicants Panel will consider the following services
- Home Choice
- Allocations
- Housing Register
- Housing Advice
- Homelessness
- Resettlement Service
- Brokerage Service
- Provision of Temporary Accommodation
We will look at the following aspects of each of these services
- Information Provision
- Access to Services
- Policy Development
- Service Development
We will endeavour to have representatives of different ages, genders, race, sexual orientation, ability and faith. We also look to have a good mix of application types such as transfer applicants, homeless applicants and waiting list applicants.
The following provisional meeting dates have been arranged with the current group. (Date and Time Venue, Theme for discussion):
20th February 2008 – 6pm Committee Suite Information Provision
17th May 2008 – 6pm Committee Suite Access to Services
19th August 2008 – 6pm Committee Suite Policy Development
13th November 2008 – 6pm Committee Suite Service Development
