Dorset Heathlands Interim Planning Framework
To provide a joint approach to the protection of heathland in South East Dorset. The Interim Planning Framework seeks to ensure that there is no net increase in urban pressures on internationally important heathland as a result of additional development by setting out a mechanism for assessing applications and a range of measures to which acceptable develoment can contribute to mitigate its impact.
IPF ROLL-FORWARD
The previous IPF ran out at the end of 2009 and the local authorities of Bournemouth, Christchurch, East Dorset, Poole and Purbeck have prepared a roll-forward of the framework for a further two years. The replacement document, Dorset Heathlands IPF 2010-2011, can be downloaded from the right hand side of this page.The consultation commenced on 27 November 2009 and closed on 22 January 2010.
Copies are available on the Poole, Bournemouth, Purbeck and DorsetForYou websites. A copy can be viewed at the Planning reception desk at the Civic Centre and at Poole's 10 local libraries.
