Bournemouth University is a modern and innovative institution with six distinctive schools of study reflecting their emphasis on education as a pathway to professional success. There is also now new student accommodation for the University in Poole

The university works with key employers and other organisations closely related to their areas of expertise. Courses are designed and delivered in such a way as to give graduates a head start in pursuing employment and career enhancement.

The most recent teaching quality assessments have resulted in ratings of 'excellent' for courses in the areas of communication and media, business and management, catering and hospitality, archaeology and nursing and midwifery.

Campuses

Bournemouth University has two campuses; Talbot Campus & Lansdowne Campus.

Talbot Campus is situated in Poole, on the boundary with Bournemouth. It is where the main university buildings are located, including the student's union and the main library. There is also a doctors surgery, Dylans and D2 bars, student refectory, Uni shop, Waterstones and Endsleigh Insurance situated on campus.

Lansdowne Campus is in the heart of Bournemouth town centre, with the university buildings spread out along Christchurch Road. Unlike Talbot, Lansdowne is not a self-contained campus.
