Puffin’s Log: Sailing from Poole Harbour in the 1950s – an illustrated talk
Step back in time 50 years - take a 22ft. Hillyard sailing boat, a family of five and just the bare essentials. In Puffin’s Log, Jocelyn Greenway refreshingly recounts her family’s sailing expeditions from Poole Harbour to France and the canals of Belgium and the Netherlands.
Edited by her daughter, Cathy Woodhead, using her father’s illustrations and photographs, the book is a charming account of adventures in a bygone era.
Why not come along to Poole Central Library on 4th March at 6.30pm to hear Cathy’s illustrated talk about their trips from Poole to the Continent, besides solving a mystery - where is Puffin now?
