Fine, golden sand, gradual sloping beach and clean, safe water make Shore Road Beach an ideal place to visit with or without children.
Hobie Cat Catamarans, kayaks and pedalos are available for hire and there is a dedicated ‘launch’ zone for windsurfers. Tuition is available for both windsurfing and catamaran sailing.
Off the sand there are a variety of places to sit and enjoy the view from the Sands Brasserie at the Sandbanks Hotel to the lively atmosphere at Jazzy’s the Jazz Café there really is something for everyone.
Lifeguards are present at Shore Road Beach Office from 1 May to 30 September and may be contacted regarding local sea and swimming conditions. Lifeguard observed areas are clearly marked by the ‘Red and Yellow Flags’.
Please do not swim when the red flags are flying.
