This playground is suitable for children between the ages of 3 - 12 years.
The play equipment at this play area is manufactured and installed to comply with European Standards.
Dog proof fencing has been installed and all items of equipment are provided with a safety surface where required.
Immediately outside the play area is an exciting new (June 2008) climbing wall - the first of its kind in Poole. At 3m high the wall comprises four separate boulders, two linked by a spiders web climbing net. It is installed into an area of rubber surfacing, and is designed for unsupervised use by anyone over 6 yrs, whatever their climbing ability.
To ensure the safety of users, each site is inspected daily. An annual inspection is also carried out by a recognised qualified organisation such as the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) who prepare a safety audit and a report which is used to plan long term maintenance.
The Council is reviewing existing play provision in Poole and will be developing a play strategy to guide future development.
