Recycling Your Household Waste
What happens to the household waste?
We ask you to help us recycle waste by separating it and using different bays and containers. Household waste can be deposited free of charge, and the following products that are taken onto the site are recycled, composted, re-used or recovered:
- Textiles
- Cardboard too large for your blue recycling bin
- Wood
- Green Waste
- Furniture for example beds and sofas
- Tyres
- Metals
- Bric a Brac
- Car batteries
- Printer Cartridges
- Gas Bottles
- Electrical Equipment for example TV's, monitors, Hifi's, stereos
- Fluorescent Lamps/Tubes
- Fridges and Freezers
During the year 2007/2008 we recycled and recovered 74% of material received at the site.
