The Home Energy Conservation Act 1995 placed an obligation on all local authorities to develop ten year home energy efficiency strategies and promote, educate and raise awareness about energy conservation.

Poole produced its Home Energy Conservation Strategy in 1996 along with its ten year plan to reduce domestic energy consumption by 25-30%.

Monitoring Home Energy Conservation

In all housing stocks it is important to give an accurate picture of energy savings activity in Poole. Therefore, it is essential that energy efficiency surveys are incorporated into processes and procedures within all housing stock management.

Is your home energy efficient?We carry out regular monitoring of all actual insulation measures within the domestic sector. Standard Assessment Procedures (SAP) are incorporated into all domestic house inspections within the private and public sector. We can then give advice on energy savings improveme SAP ratings.

This information will be invaluable to ensure that we are meeting statutory obligations as an Energy Conservation Authority (ECA).
