Wasps

I think I have a wasps nest what should I do?

Wasps tend to build their nests before the beginning of May in cavities of trees, walls, in lofts and attics of buildings; they can also burrow nests into the ground. Although wasps benefit the environment by controlling other small pests and clearing away dead insects, their stings are painful and can be serious if you are allergic to them. Wasps never reuse a nest, so if you find one and there is no obvious activity, it is likely to be old and safe to remove, especially between November and March.

If you spot a nest which is still in use and require us to treat it you may choose to use our Pest Control service or a private pest control company via Buy with confidence.

We advise that you do not try to destroy the wasp nest yourself as this can be very dangerous as there can be thousands of wasps in an average nest. If you have tried to destroy the nest but have been unsuccessful, please tell us at the time of booking a treatment.
