Fire

Arson on our heathland does occur and it can have disastrous effects.  Call 999 quickly if you see a fire, it will help minimise the damage and spread of the fire.

Motorbikes

Motorbikes can cause damage to the heath and endanger heath users. Please report any sightings of people on motorbikes to the non-emergency police number on 01202 222 222.

Camps

Camps or dens on the heath could just be children playing but they can also turn into areas where fires are lit and rubbish is left.

Fly-tipping

This is the illegal and dangerous disposal of waste on land. Garden waste on the heath can also alter the vegetation and introduce invasive plants that could damage or kill heathland species.

Vandalism

This can include bike ramps, and damage to gates, bins and vegetation.

To help protect Poole's heathland, please report problems straight away, providing as much information as possible.
