Naturally beautiful, with luxuriant golden sand, Poole’s three miles of gradually sloping beaches have clean, safe water. They include:

Sandbanks:

Shore Road:
Address: Shore Road, Poole, BH13 7PJ
Park your sailing vessel on the beach between 01 March – 30 November. Apply for a licence.
Seasonal beach office open from 01 May – 30 September.

Canford Cliffs:
Address: Cliff Road, Poole, BH13 7HX
Seasonal beach office open from 01 May – 30 September.

Branksome Chine:
Address: Pinecliff Rd, Poole, BH13 6LP
Seasonal beach office open from 01 May – 30 September.

Branksome Dene Chine:
Address: Pinewood Rd, Poole, BH13 6JP


Poole also has more beaches on the Northern side of Poole Harbour. They offer an oasis of peace and tranquillity with outstanding panoramic views of the harbour and Purbeck Hills.

Hamworthy Park:

Lake Pier Beach:
Address: Lake Drive, Hamworthy, Poole, BH13
This beach is in an area known as Hamworthy Common, a local nature reserve and Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI).
