Waste Planning

Dorset County Council is the Minerals and Waste Planning Authority for Dorset and is responsible for the preparation of minerals and waste planning documents for the Borough of Poole, Bournemouth Borough Council and Dorset.

The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires current minerals and waste planning policy to be replaced by a Minerals and Waste Development Framework. Whilst the new framework documents are being prepared, transitional arrangements provide for current policies to be 'saved' for three years. The current policy documents affected are the Dorset Minerals and Waste Local Plan (April 1999) and the Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole Waste Local Plan (June 2006).

Dorset County Council Mineral Waste Framework
