Kerbside Recycling

In September 2004 the blue bin kerbside recycling scheme was introduced to the Borough which has proved to be very popular. You can collect;

• Paper
• Cardboard
• Aluminium and steel cans
• Plastic bottles
• Glass

Once collected your recycling material will be taken to a Materials Recycling Facility where it will be sorted and sent for re-processing. For example plastic bottles can be made into fleeces and even drainpipes!
