Children's reading groups

Join a reading group to talk about books and for lots of fun activities. Chatterbook reading groups meet at the following Libraries:

Hamworthy Library's reading group meets on alternate Fridays 5.00-6.00 pm.

Oakdale Library's reading group meets on alternate Tuesdays 4.00-5.00pm.

Awards

The Carnegie Medal link will open in new window is awarded for an outstanding book for children and young people.  The 2008 winner was Here Lies Arthur by Philip Reeve.

The Kate Greenaway Medal link will open in new window is awarded for an outstanding book in terms of illustration for children and young people. The 2008 winner was Little Mouse's Big Book of Fears by Emily Gravett.
