Reading group for visually impaired people meets in Poole Central Library

You can join the National Library for the Blind free-of-charge. For details go to www.nlb-online.org/ . As a member you can borrow books in Braille and Moon, as well as large print and audio books. You also have access to a range of online resources.
Services for people with a hearing impairment
Induction loops are available in all libraries at the counter area.
DVDs with subtitles available to borrow. Subtitles can be activated via a DVD player remote control or on-screen menu. Most modern players should have this facility.
Videos with closed captions. Captions may be accessible via television remote control (look for the CC logo). Otherwise, closed caption readers can be borrowed from the Home Library Service
