Joint Area Review Timetable

A Joint Area Review link will open in new window (JAR) is an inspection of Children and Young People’s Services, to examine how services are working together locally to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Below is a timetable detailing the inspection process that is currently underway for the JAR in Poole.

TELLUS link will open in new window pupil survey – an on-line survey set up by OFSTED link will open in new window that gathers the views of children and young people. 22 Poole Schools were asked to help pupils complete it.

Up until June

Review of Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) - How we have performed against our objectives and priorities.

JuneReport back on our progress and performance to the Department for Children, Schools and Families link will open in new window.
August/SeptemberJAR team examine findings of CYPP review, performance evidence and TELLUS feedback.
September100 cases submitted to JAR inspectors – we will identify 100 children known to social care, including children with disabilities, looked after children and children subject to protection plans. Inspectors will then choose 10 children from this list for inclusion in their inspection.
OctoberJAR visit to review documentation evidence and case files.
NovemberNotice of key lines of enquiry inspectors will be taking and shortlist provided of children they will focus on.
DecemberOn site inspection.
