Government Bodies And Remodelling
Governing bodies have a key role in enabling remodelling by ensuring that it is at the heart of their school's improvement plans.
Remodelling:
-
aims to raise standards for all pupils, not just in terms of academic attainment but in all aspects of their education
-
aims to attract new teachers into the profession while retaining those already in post
-
is a process which gives a structured approach to managing change
-
is collaborative, enabling the whole school community to be involved in the changes taking place
-
allows school teams the scope and flexibility to tackle key issues in a way which best reflects the individual circumstances of their own communities
-
provides an opportunity to maximise the effectiveness of the whole school workforce
-
encourages the use of a broader range of adults in different roles to support pupils with personalised learning programmes
-
encourages the development of an enhanced career structure and improved training opportunities for all support staff
