Setting Support Visits
All settings will have an entitlement to core support so that together we can offer the best possible opportunities and experiences for all children and meet the challenges of the Five Outcomes for Children and organisation.
Core Support
Each pre-school and nursery setting will be offered access to the training and development programme for national and local initiatives and OfSTED action planning.
Early Learning
- termly link visit
- leaders briefing
- advice and support through telephone and email from Early Learning Advisory Teacher
- attendance of Early Learning Advisory Teacher at OfSTED feedback, whenever possible
Childcare
- 6 monthly link visit
- support for child protection issues
- committee support and advice
- guidance for application for Quality Assurance Accreditation
- support and guidance for registration
SEN/Equal Opportunities/Behaviour Management
- advice and support for SENCOs
- annual self-evaluation and action planning for inclusion
- specialist support for children identified at Early Years Action Plus and beyond including half termly reviews
Targeted Support
In addition to the core support for all setting, some settings may need a package of multi agency support. This package will be agreed between the setting and Early learning, childcare and specialist support team members after discussion. The following criteria will be used :-
- sustainability and expansion advice
- groups working towards Quality Assurance Accreditation
- change of key personnel
- urgent request from group leader
- concerns raised about, qualification levels, specific early learning, childcare, inclusion issues, an OfSTED inspection report and limited uptake of CPD.
