Helping you get a job in childcare: If you are interested but have no relevant qualifications you need to look for an assistant position within a setting. Vacancies are advertised in the following places:
- On the Family Information Service job search page
. - Job Centre Plus offices.
- Shop windows.
- School notice boards.
- Local papers.
- Doctors Surgeries.
If you see a position of interest to you, contact the setting to ask how you need to apply if it does not state it on the advert. You may want to ask questions about
- opening times,
- the number of children the setting is registered for and
- the age of the children attending.
