Additional Information For Supporting Adults

For young people to submit an application to either the Youth Opportunities Fund or the Youth Capital Fund they have to identify an adult that will support their bid and take responsibility for overseeing the budget.

The supporting adult will need to be part of an organisation that has clear arrangements for health and safety, child protection, confidentiality and equal opportunities. The supporting adult will have the responsibility for ensuring the project works within their organisation’s policies.

The supporting adult will need to complete section B of the application form to confirm that they are willing to take this role within the project.

All adults that have direct contact with young people involved in the project will need to have enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance.

If the funds are agreed in principle the supporting adult will receive a monitoring and evaluation document that they have responsibility for ensuring it is completed and returned.

Supporting Adults are responsible for the funding of the project, as outlined in the application form.
