Projects
DJ Skills
Turlin Moor have recently purchased brand new DJ mixing equipment so staff and young people have been working together to prepare the mixing room. The day to day running of the project will be supported by the DJ workshops at Limelights. The aim of the project is for young people to not only gain confidence in learning new skills but also gain an NVQ in DJ mixing.
Working with the Dorset Wildlife Trust
Young people from Turlin Moor Youth Centre will have the opportunity to work in the community with Dorset Wildlife Trust and develop a nature wildlife garden at the back of the centre. This project will give young people the experience of volunteering. In the past the young people from the centre have created hanging baskets, which have continued to flourish giving young people confidence and pride in their youth centre.
Healthy Youth Centre Project
Working in partnership with Poole Primary Care Trust members of Turlin Moor Youth Centre have been involved with the Healthy Youth Centre Project. One of the eight themes that the members thought was important to them was healhty eating and with this in mind worked on the provision of drinking water.
