Special Educational Needs Inclusion Support Service
The Special Educational Needs (SEN) Inclusion Support Service is part of Children and Young People's Integrated Services working with all schools throughout the Borough. The service has been a delegated service since April 2002. Support and advice is given to schools for pupils with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Language Disorders.
The aims of the service are:
- To support and advise schools in the early identification of pupils with high need Special Education Needs
- To give advice on appropriate targets, strategies and resources to support small groups and individuals
- To teach and monitor pupils who are identified as having high incidence Special Education Needs at School Action Plus
- To evaluate and share new resources, good practice and current research.
- To provide training for staff development in the relevant fields of Special Education Needs
