Hearing and Vision Support Services 
(HVSS) are a part of the statutory provision for children with special educational needs in Poole.
HVSS work in co-operation with multi-agencies including the Local Education Authority, the local Health Trust and Social Services. HVSS have responsibility for helping to identify and assess children with educationally significant impairments and to provide advice on management and specialist teaching support according to need.
HVSS is a Joint Arrangement between the Dorset County Council, Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole.
