Parking Permit - Parking Waiver

The effective enforcement of parking restrictions is a key element of the Council’s Transport Strategy in terms of safety, access, reducing congestion and ensuring the most effective use of road space. However the Council understands that there are occasions when some of these restrictions create considerable difficulties for trades people.

Parking waivers are issued to assist trades people in parking their vehicle during the course of their daily work. The waiver grants exemption from certain types of parking and waiting restrictions, within the Borough. Traders will need to demonstrate that they have a need for constant access to their vehicle for tools, equipment or materials, in order to carry out their work.
