Animal Sanctuary - COAST Project
COAST works with the Margaret Green Foundation Trust Animal Sanctuary at Church Knowle (near Corfe Castle).
The group meet every week. Among the tasks undertaken are:
- mucking out the stables
- grooming horses and donkeys
- cleaning the rabbit and guinea pig hutches
- feeding and watering the animals
- helping to care for the animals
What do I get out of it?
- making new friends
- building up confidence
- learning new skills
The work can be quite hard at times but all the group have made new friends including many with four legs and have learnt a great deal from the staff at the sanctuary about the care and welfare of the animals.
