  • Place you at the centre of service delivery
  • Promote independence and self determination at all times
  • Provide care and support which is flexible and responds to your wishes and aspirations
  • Ensure that confidentiality is respected at all times
  • Provide services in an anti-discriminatory and culturally sensitive manner with due regard to race, culture, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation and disability.

Our Objectives

The key objectives of this service are to:

  • Support you in gaining control of your life

Local Authorities purchasing the service for you will arrange for a full assessment to ascertain eligibility for service provision and identify your levels of need. A member of the financial assessment team will also look at your income and capital and work out how much they may need to contribute towards the cost of your care. They will also make sure that you or your carer are claiming and receiving all benefits you are entitled to.

The financial assessment will identify how much you can afford to pay. If you are required to contribute to your care, you will pay driect to the Borough of Poole or your purchasing authority.
