Healthpoint
Healthpoint is based at Poole Central Library and has an up-to-date reference/study collection of books, magazines, fact sheets and leaflets and offers a one-stop shop for patient health information.
There are many leaflets that you can take away on the subjects of health, illness and disabilities and some videos/tapes available for loan. Our databases hold details of thousands of national and local self-help/support groups covering many different health conditions, and of companies, travel, insurance and educational organisations working in the disability sector.

Health information
Poole Hospital provide an information service where you can find out more about your condition or treatment you are receiving from Poole Hospital.
Contact Poole Hospital on 01202 448003 or visit the Health Information and Resource Centre. The centre is clearly signed and is based in the single-storey building to the right of the hospital, between the hospital and the multi-storey car park.
The centre is open Monday to Friday, between 9.30am and 4pm.
PALS - Patient Liaison and Advisory Service
The PALS service
is available in every NHS Trust in the country and provides free, confidential and impartial advice for patients and carers who have concerns about NHS services. The service can give guidance or advice about NHS procedures and help sort out any problems you may be experiencing.
