Fourways Day Centre Room Hire

The Fourways Centre is designed to accommodate people with disabilities, the building has extra wide corridors with grab rails, double doors to enable the largest of wheelchairs to access rooms and disabled toilets.

Evening and weekend rooms available for hire

Green Room

This room has 25 high backed chairs and a loop system installed. It is a comfortable room which lends itself to the quieter meetings or support groups.

  • Monday evening 6.30-10.30
  • Wednesday (limited availability) 6.30-10.30
  • Saturday 9.00-6.30
  • Sunday 9.00-10.30

Games Room

This room has a capacity for approximately 50 people. Often used for business meetings. It has a hard floor so can be used as a sports hall, although the ceiling is low. There is a hatch to the little kitchen.

  • Tuesday evening (limited availability) 6.30-10.30
  • Wednesday evening (limited availability) 6.30-10.30
  • Saturday (limited availability) 9.00-10.30

Dining Room

This room has a capacity for approximately 100 people, tables and chairs are part of the furniture. A piano is also situated in here.

  • Wednesdays Eve (limited availability) 6.30-10.30
  • Saturdays 9.00-10.30
  • Sundays 9.00-10.30

Additional Resources

Kitchen

There is a small kitchen which is available to evening lets. This is equipped with an electric urn and 200 glass mugs, cutlery and crockery required for any event.

Furniture and Equipment

Stacking chairs and folding tables are available to increase seating. These can be used in all rooms to maximise occupancy. There are white boards available but special pens will need to be supplied by the hirer.

Vending Machines

Two vending machines are fully stocked with a variety of hot beverages and an assortment of snacks for purchase.

Parking

There is a large car park with disabled parking bays clearly marked.

Availability

There is limited availability to any of these rooms as they are booked en block for a variety of independent charities and organisations, mainly self help groups. One off bookings can be made subject to availability.

Keys

Collection and return of keys must be arranged with the centre

Costs

Borough of Poole groups and Community Support groups: Free

Registered Charities: £2.94 per hour (Economy Rate)

All other groups: £10.10 per hour (Commercial Rate)

How to book

The person hiring the facilities must make known to the centre the function the room/s will be used for and agree to the conditions and guidelines for use of premises.

You can download the Hire of Day Centre Premises Application Form and supporting documentation.

Subject to acceptance of your application, you will then receive confirmation of your booking from the individual Day Centre and an invitation to visit the premises to view the facilities, at which time arrangements can be made to collection and return of keys.

At this stage you will need to provide sight of your Public Liability Insurance and to sign the hire agreement.

An invoice will be sent to you with full details of how to pay online, by post or in person.
