Adult Social Care
Poole Adult Social Services has been awarded top marks for delivering social services to people in Poole. Borough of Poole has been awarded a maximum three-star rating by the Care Quality Commission
(CQC), formerly known as the Commission for Social Care Inspection. Our aim is to promote the health, well-being and independence of those Borough of Poole residents most in need and their carers. We do this by:
- providing day services which in addition to providing care give access to a wide range of opportunities within the community
- providing domiciliary care services for people with long-term high dependency needs and short-term for people recently discharged from hospital
- supporting disabled people to find and maintain employment
- providing support to people with drug and/or alcohol dependency issues
- promoting the well-being of vulnerable people within the wider community through a range of partnerships with the NHS locally and a range of voluntary organisations
- providing care management assessment and some direct provision for people with a learning disability
- promoting the well-being of vulnerable people who often need to be looked after in residential or nursing homes, and those being cared for at home
